Measuring only 2.2mm, the face has varying levels of thickness for enhanced distance and feel even on off-center hits. Add the club’s deep undercut cavity that moves weight to the outer edges of the head, and it is easy to understand how the XCG5 iron offers our largest effective hitting area yet. Every single facet of this iron brims with innovation. The club’s four tungsten sole weights help lower the center of gravity to optimize the trajectory and enhance the club’s ability to resist twisting on impact (M.O.I.). Turning bogies into pars, and pars into birdies, each iron in the set is engineered to maximize it’s specific task. Everything from the center of gravity location, offsets (progressive), face thicknesses, and top line thicknesses are adjusted to produce ideal performance results in distance and accuracy. In addition, the reduced offset and thinner sole provide greater workability for enhanced shot-making and lower scores.
